늦다고 하소연을 하는군요..그래두 AP보단 양호한듯 합니다..
우리 나다회원분 중에도 가입하신 분이 보이더군요...ㅎㅎ

12" MAK:
In May we have finished a few sets and were not satisfied with optics that in
all
cases had signs of similarity of wave front pattern when tested not in
autocollimation, in autocollimation all sets were fine..? We found that the
problem was in the test flat that was done for this project. We have done this
mirror usual way with test flats of smaller size as we did before but smaller
flats. But for 14" flat this test was not sencitive enough to detect such
error as
small astigmatism and residual spherical abberation. The other addition test
method is needed - such as testing flat mirror with a precision shpere in
autocollimation - method of A.Common. The precision shepical mirror was
done last month and now Ed is completing the flat, at the same time he did
touch ups on all meniscuses, that were done in May. So far this is the most
complicated project, but will be done.
10" MAKs
- all delayed because of above project, also we were not quite satisfied with
new Quartz source, that was given us microbubbles on surfaces - Quartz for
this size and 8" MAKs was purchased from other source (and errived already).
All 10" MAK current orders will be done in new design, that will let use
electrical focusing or cooling system.
8" MAKs
- all old style models were completed last week.
Optics for new design models will be done in September.
6" MAK - same situation as for 8" and 10" models .
Counting all above we currently do not take orders for MAKs until all optics
are completed for orders in work. And after that we will do MAKs only through
a waiting list, that let us accumulate a certain number of orders that is
nessasary for the production run. Otherwise we can not do them on the order
base as before counting huge demand for APOs (more than 100 to be made
in next 18 months.
APO140 - this goes much better (even we have recieved third glass later than
was sheduled) and first 10 will be shipped next week and 10 more to the end
of month.
APO200ED f/9 - all glass has been received and successfully tested -
finishing tooling and test plates according to given refractive indexes of
glasses (they are as usual a bit different than from catalog numbers).
APO200FL F8 - Waiting for CaF2, that should be here in a short time, all other
glasses on shelf and all tolls and test plates.
APO160ED f/8 - glasses choosen, design completed - production will start
after thrid run of APO140 - in 2004. Can supply on a special order base the
APO160 Fluorite.
APO180 f/? - we have design for f/8, but trying to make it f/7... - not easy;
production will be done at the same time as APO160.
The Eyepiece Turret - we dont have enough orders (a min 100 is needed) for
this unit and shifted production of mechanical components to October
completion - at the Christmass time this unit will go much faster. Optics is
completed (>100 flat mirrors). Prototype unit also was tested under the sky
and works the way you will not be able to escape this accessory.
I am sorry for all of our customers for delaying their scopes. We are trying to
be better in delivery and avoid waiting list at least for refractors, two more
people were added to the company stuff this year, but we still have shortage
of hands...
