해외 상점을 통해 장비나 악세사리를 구매할 때 저는 PayPal을 이용합니다. 한 번 신용카드를 등록해 놓으면 대금 결제를 안전하게 대행해 주기 때문에 매번 이곳을 이용하고 있습니다. 그런데 오늘 요상한 메일이 하나 왔습니다. 내용인 즉슨 '제3자가 당신의 계좌에 접근한 흔적이 있어 당신 계정에 잠시 제한을 걸어놓았다. 해결센터(Resolution Center)에 가면 즉시 해결해 주겠다.' 이런 내용이더군요. 아무 의심없이 하라는대로 링크된 곳을 클릭했는데, 웹브라우저 자체에서 '이 곳은 알려진 피싱사이트'라는 메시지가 뜨면서 접근이 제한 되더군요. 그래서 다시 정식 PayPal 사이트를 가서 로그인을 해서 살펴보니 제 계정에는 아무런 문제점이 없었습니다. 이 메일에서 하라는 대로 가서 만일 카드번호 적고 그랬으면 꼼짝없이 당할 뻔 했습니다. NADA를 방문하시는 분들 중에 저처럼 PayPal을 이용하시는 분들이 있을텐데 조심하시라는 뜻에서 글 남겨 둡니다.
