곧 STL-11K에 들어있는 KAI-11000 CCD 보다 큰 엑스라지포맷 CCD가 나오겠군요. 천육백만 화소에 9미크론이니까 대략 36mm x 36mm 사이즈가 되겠네요. 인터라인CCD인 11K에서 불만이었던 QE도 풀프레임으로 되면서 70%이상이 되겠죠.
오~ 기대 됩니다. 또 적금들어야겠어요. ㅋㅋ
그런데 CCD 칩가격은 재미있군요.
11K가 1800달러! 그 칩을 쓴 STL11K 냉각카메라는 8000달러 하는데 말이죠. :-)

Subject: More KAF-16803 and KAF-09000
Kodak stopped by today and told us several things I thought you might
find interesting.
They were not happy with the readout noise in the first KAF-09000 (12
um, 9 MP CCD) chips, so they are turning the masks. This means about
a six week delay. Now they expect the production CCDs to come out in
June or July, just after the KAF-16803 (9 um, 16 MP CCD). There may
be some prototypes available the first week of March for the KAF-
16803 and the last week of March for the KAF-09000, but that still
remains to be seen.
There is no plan to make either of these CCDs with no anti-blooming
gate (NABG), for those of you who have asked.
They currently have no plans to make any changes to the KAF-6303 (9
um, 6 MP CCD): it will not get micro-lenses and it will not change in
price. That means the prices will be:
KAF-09000 (12 um, 9 MP): $3,300
KAF-6303 ( 9 um, 6 MP): $3,600
KAF-16803 ( 9 um, 16 MP): $4,200
I told them that I think they are obsoleting the 6303, which they
agreed. They told us that the new chips are based on custom CCDs
they make for two of the Olympus cameras, and there is no plan to
spend the money to move the 6303 to the new process.
Work continues on our Trifid Gold camera which will support these
imaging chips when they become available. For the more cost
conscious astronomer Trifid Gold will also support the interline KAI-
11002 CCD, which costs $1,800.
