뱀주인자리와 전갈자리 경계에 있는 시작경 14분의 구상성단입니다.
2008년 8월26일 저녁 9시 무렵, 남서쪽 포천 쪽에서 오는 광해의 영향을 받는 위치에 있는 대상을 찍었는데 광해의 영향인지, 한여름 늦은 시각까지 남은 박명의 영향인지 전체적으로 붉은 색의 기운이 강합니다.
