한밤중에 124개나 되는 은하를 찍다니....
GOTO도 안되는 마운트를 가지고 말이죠.

Subject: 124 Galaxies in one Night

May 5, 2003: Clear Skies and a wonderful warm night, but I didn´t
feel like taking 'pretty pictures' (don´t ask why).

I used my SBIG ST2k on the AP EDFS 155 f/7 to shoot some 'spring
galaxies' in prime focus. It was the beginning of a 'galaxy- marathon'. With 3x3 binning 2 minutes integration time was enough to
detect galaxies up to 17.0 mag! Guiding wasn´t an issue because of
the great tracking accuracy of my AP 900 QMD. I want to shoot the
showpieces as well as some fainter objects.

Altogether I got 50 images (quick but dirty!). The setup was not
change during the whole session so that the sizes of the objekts can
be directly compared. In total you can discover 124 galaxies. For
this marathon I needed 3 1/2 hours (without the help of GOTO!).
